One Stormy Day

One Stormy Day

Gray skies and swaying wires
Waving branches as winds blow by
The birds seek shelter
As my mind go wander
In this stormy weather
I stop and ponder
And listen to the howling winds
And rustling leaves
Outside the window I look
And marvel at the storm
Of its strength and its form
That could shatter the windows
And unhinge the doors
But never my soul.
